My research focus is object recognition in pigeons (Columba livia) and jackdaws (Corvus monedula). Based on behavioral benchmarks and electrophysiological recordings, I aim to compare the principles of the avian visual stream to the cortical functional organization. The multi-species approach of my project also allows me to explore the impact of disparate ecological niches on the evolution of higher visual processing.
